Abstract

This study is about the impact of retirement in Canada on both the individual and society. The authors assess the effects on retirement of recent developments at the provincial level concerning human rights legislation the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and federal public pension policy. They also review the history of retirement in the country and explore possible future retirement scenarios. (ANNOTATION)
