Abstract
A 48-year-old woman with slurred speech was diagnosed with Moyamoya disease. Digital subtraction angiography disclosed left ophthalmic artery originating from the internal carotid artery (Fig A, arrow), and supplied by orbital branches of the middle meningeal and facial artery (Fig A, arrowhead). Preoperative examinations showed normal superficial vascular complex (SVC) in the left eye (OS) on OCT angiography (Fig B). She underwent left extracranial-intracranial bypass from the superficial temporal artery to the middle cerebral artery.
