Abstract

Ethers of mesityl oxide and linear alcohols C1-C5 have been synthesized.Retention characteristics were determined using the method of gas–liquid chromatography with a column with a non-polar phase in the temperature range of 373.2–463.2 K. Based on these characteristics, the values of the sorption enthalpies of ethers, saturated vapor pressures and enthalpies of vaporization were calculated. Dependences of retention indices on temperature, retention indices and sorption enthalpies on the number of carbon atoms in the molecule of the alcohol radical of ethers have a linear form. The values of excess enthalpies of mixing are estimated and the enthalpies of vaporization obtained in the work and calculated by the QSPR-method are compared.
