Abstract
Retail is a very wide area which includes a lot of stores providing goods and services to the final consumers. It not only includes the age-old kirana stores, cloth sellers or vegetables vendors, rather it also includes very big stores like Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle and service outlets like beauty parlors, service stations for vehicles, gas-stations, dog saloons, financial sector outlets like banks, insurance companies dealing with retail clients etc. From the above examples we can very well say that any shop or institution that provides goods and services to final consumer for their personal use and sell in small quantities comes under the parlance of retail sector.
