Abstract
Background: Neonatal resuscitation(NR) training is a necessary part of pediatric resident education and required by the ACGME. This simulation curriculum was designed to enhance exposure and practice of NR by pediatric residents during their neonatal ICU rotations. The curriculum's effectiveness was measured by the residents’ ability to maintain competency in NR skills and as increased levels of perceived confidence to perform NR; both domains were expected to improve with repeated exposure to the curriculum. Methods: The curriculum provided two types of education: a 30-minute didactic lecture followed by high-fidelity simulation (HFS).
