Abstract

The UA2 experiment operating at the CERN proton-antiproton collider has accumulated an integrated luminosity of about 750 nb-1 at \(\sqrt{S}\) = 630 GeV during the 1984/85 run periods. This review summarizes the results obtained for multijet production (Section 2) and the first successful attempt to perform particle spectroscopy using hadronic jets originating from the decay of W/Z bosons into jet pairs (Section 3). Special emphasis is put on a detailed discussion of jet detection algorithms (Section 1).
