Abstract

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers in the world. Liver resection is the most widely used therapy in well-compensated liver cirrhosis and may be selected as a first-line treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the survival rate in patients undergoing liver resection for HCC and to identify risk factors which may influence the prognosis.
