Abstract
Of the 521 persons who took the written examination in 1965, 174 (or 33 percent) passed; in the preceding 10 yr period, 21 percent of all examinees passed. A frequency distribution curve of adjusted scores for the passing group and tables of level of education of examinees and ranking of geographic areas by number of examinees receiving geologic training in each area are included.
