Abstract

Final results on solar and atmospheric neutrino observation from successfully finished Kamiokande have been reported. Solar neutrino data verified neutrino deficit, but didn't show any anomaly in energy spectrum and in time variations. That limits allowed neutrino oscillation parameter in a small region. Atmospheric neutrino data raised anomalous ν μ / ν e ratio, and also multi-GeV data showed zenith angle dependence of the ratio that gives upper limit of mass difference in oscillation solutions. High statistics Super-Kamiokande (SK) has started in April 1996 and is accumulating solar and atmospheric neutrino data very quickly and efficiently. Preliminary solar neutrino results from 100 days of data is presented. Statistics and quality are exceeding Kamiokande data. Clear signature of energy spectrum distortion or day/night variation in solar neutrino data and discrimination of neutrino oscillation mode in atmospheric neutrino data will be provided from two or three years of SK operation.
