Abstract

Soviet power, nurtured by V. I. Lenin, has raised the people of the world's first socialist state to an unprecedented flourishing of culture, science, and art. One of the reasons for this tremendous development is specifically that the Communist Party and the Soviet government have consistently — step by step, starting in October 1917 — grappled with the most urgent problems of the school and of education.
