Results and Prospects of the Dissertation Council on Demography

Abstract

The review is devoted to the results of the activities of the Dissertation Council D.002.011.04 in the specialty 08.00.05 “Economics and Management of the National Economy” (in the fields of “Population Economics and Demography” and “Labour Economics”), which was created on the basis of the Federal Center for Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The review also presents the author’s vision of the promising areas of work of the new dissertation council on demography which should be created in connection with a change in the nomenclature of scientific specialties, in accordance with the Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 118 dated February 24, 2021.
