Abstract

The direct-immunobead test (D-IBT) is the test for detecting antisperm antibodies (ASA) on the sperm surface. The assessment of ASA-positive in infertile men seems to be complex because of their diversity and not all of ASA showing inhibitory effects on sperm penetration through female genital tract and on fertilization. To avoid unexpected cancellation of embryo transfer following ART, we introduced D-IBT for screening ASA positive men before ART. Some of ASA on sperm surface were also reported to impede embryo development after successful fertilization.
