Abstract

We examine the validity of the environment-assisted measurement (EAM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR) operation in the restoration of distributed entanglement for an arbitrarily entangled bipartite pure state under three kinds of typical noisy quantum channels. We derive the exact expressions of the optimal final quantum entanglement, show explicitly that the EAM and QMR operation indeed helps for recovering the distributed entanglement from amplitude damping, phase damping and depolarizing. Comparing with the results obtained by the method of weak measurement and QMR, our results show notable superiorities on adaptation scope and success probability.
