Restorative justice: An opportunity for non‐exclusionary discipline

Abstract

Recently I worked with a seventh‐grade boy with a mood disorder and features of a neurodevelopmental disorder. He had been admitted several times to partial hospital, and usually responded well to treatment. This time he had been on our wait list for several months — too long and too frequently the case during this time of burgeoning need and inadequate resources.
