Abstract

AbstractAn account of the conservation and restoration work carried out as part of a major programme of improvements at the Royal Academy of Arts. The project was carried out between 1989 and 1992 by Sir Norman Foster & Partners and Julian Harrap Architects who were jointly awarded the RIB A's National Award for Architecture 1992. This is the first detailed account of the conservation programme.
