Abstract
Restoration of the basic service properties of a motor oil is defined here as a result of a series of operations to bring up to standard the oil viscosity, amkalinity, acidity, and level of contamination with particulates, water, and aging products ; the term also includes renewal of the reserves of antioxidant, neutralizing, anticorrosion, detergent, dispersant, and other properties.
