Abstract
After somatic fusion between a mitochondrial mutant ofCandida utilis andSaccharomyces cerevisiae respiratory competent strain, the complex III of the respiratory chain seems to be restored. Fusion products, FP, synthesizing normal apocytochromeb were recovered and showed normal-shaped mitochondria along the cytoplasm as in theCandida utilis original, respiratory-competent strain.
