Abstract
Background: Restless leg syndrome (RLS), characterized by irresistible urge to move limbs at rest which improves with limb movement, is observed in patients with iron deficiency anemia, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Recently two studies from Milwaukee and Japan showed that 62 % and 16.8 % of patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) had RLS.
