Abstract

Adolescence is a period of rapid brain development, especially within the cortex. At the same time, symptoms of mood and anxiety disorders often first emerge in adolescence, suggesting disruptions in maturing brain networks may play a role in the onset of mental illness. Here, we used graph theory to characterize resting-state network properties and their relationships with clinical symptomatology in a large, trans-diagnostic cohort of adolescents.
