Abstract

In this lecture I will give a personal perspective on developments of therapeutic concepts and methods, which put the clients personal resources in the foreground. I will argue that resource orientation is a valuable approach in stress management and health education, but problems and negative feelings should be considered, too. Finally, the risks and limitations of following a resource concept as a unreflected dogma are discussed.
