Abstract
ABSTRACT Theoretically based on public service logic, this study investigates value co-creation processes at the micro level. It explores the connections between responsibilization, value co-destruction, and value conflicts within a public healthcare context. Focusing on the roles of family carers it reports on a qualitative interview study in Norwegian municipal healthcare services. This study contributes to the service literature by demonstrating how responsibilization can lead to value co-destruction, resulting in conflicts of individual value.
