Abstract

In his essay, “Logical Confusions and Moral Dilemmas in Health Care Teams and Team Talk”, Ed Erde helped set the direction for this commentary by noting that “team talk comes out of team experience.” The comments expressed here are rooted in experience — the experience of team talk and team work from the perspective of a seasoned health professional.1 In this commentary health professionals includes allied health professionals, social workers, and nurses, since these health care providers, and not the physician, will serve as the focal point for discussion. When the term team is used, however, physicians and administrators are included.KeywordsTeam MemberTeam WorkHealth CARE TeamAlly Health ProfessionalTeam ActivityThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
