Read this Book Review I am delighted that No Fear has received such a glowing review in CYE. The book is primarily written for a policy and practitioner audience, not an academic one. Thus, it only very briefly addresses such scholarly questions as the universality of childhood and the implications of drawing on adult memories of growing up. I am quite clear that these omissions made the book more engaging and readable for the lay reader. I would be interested to hear, however, if other academic readers feel the omissions weakened the book’s arguments.
