Abstract

In 2006 we developed, validated and presented the Hypospadias Penile Perception Score (HPPS), which incorporates all relevant surgically correctable items, a set of standardized photographs and a panel assessing anonymous patients [ [1] van der Toorn F. They claim that this is the first validated instrument to do so. This is obviously not correct, as in 2009, the Pediatric Penile Perception Score (PPPS) was published after validation for prepubertal boys by independent urologists [1].
