Abstract
Accurate citation of references is one of the fundamentals of scientific journals. In the introduction of their manuscript, the authors described the treatment of vegetative state, and there is a very serious mistake in their citation. They stated that “Deep brain stimulation has been used by Cohadon and Richer in 1993, and more recently, by Yamamoto and Katayama. Both studies found improvement in such patients with PVS after stimulation of CM-Pf or mesencephalic reticular formation.”
