Abstract
In her response to the discussants, Grand considers the expanded circle of witnessing, which, she suggests, replicates transgenerational recognition of trauma. Specifically, Grand focuses on the symbolic and technological aspects of publishing and writing and how these aspects register the trauma being witnessed.
