Abstract

1. The symposium at the Christian Scholars Conference held at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, June 4, 2010, from which three of these articles come, included a paper by Tom Finn, “Augustine on Baptism: An Early Scholastic?” Being concerned with the Medieval West (especially Peter Lombard), it is omitted from this collection as outside the scope of JECS. The paper nonetheless added a useful dimension to the symposium, and I express here my thanks to Finn for his work in preparing the paper and for his friendly involvement in my work. 2.
