Abstract

A pot experiment was conducted under greenhouse condition at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, Egypt to investigate spraying with different organic extracts, Moringa leaves extract (MLE); Alge extract (AE); Yeast extract (YE) and Cabbage pollen flowers extract (CPFE) on grains and straw yields, photosynthetic pigments and nutrient uptake of wheat grown on a sandy soil taken from El-Khattara county, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt. Results showed that spraying with different organic extracts significantly increased yield, protein content, photosynthetic pigments and nutrient uptake of N,P,K,Fe,Mn,Zn,and Cu as compared to untreated plants. Spraying with MLE was of most positive effect and caused an increase of all parameters i.e., straw and grain yields, biological yield, protein content, NPK, Fe, Zn, Cu an Mn-uptake of wheat plants compared to other extracts.
