Abstract
Three aqueous chemical dosimeters for the absorbed dose region 0.1–10 kGy—perchloric acid solution of silver dichromate, deaerated neutral solution of methanol, and buffered (pH ∼ 9.2) solution of bromophenol blue—were tested under both γ-ray and electron irradiation, at dose rates of ∼ 1 Gy s −1 and ∼ 10 5−10 6 Gy s −1, respectively. For many applications of high-dose measurement in radiation technology, variation of response with dose rate over this range may be considered negligible for all three systems.
