Abstract

The study was done at the Palawija Seedling Center, Tanjung Selamat, Regency of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province, Medan, Indonesia, with an altitude of about 50 meters above sea level. The research was carried out from July to November 2021. This study aims to obtain the best amount of grain per planting hole in the optimal depth of tillage for the growth and yield of upland paddy varieties Inpago 12 Agritan. The research method used a factorial randomized block design. From the results of this research, it was concluded that the depth of tillage had an affect on plant height while the amount of tillers had no affect. The best amount of seeds per planting hole was 6 grains per planting hole based on the amount of tillers per plant clump.
