Response by Luo et al to Letter Regarding Article, “Fabrication of Synthetic Mesenchymal Stem Cells for the Treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Mice”

Abstract

We thank Takov et al for their interest in our study.1 In their letter to the editor, Takov et al raise 3 concerns regarding our study. First, Takov et al pointed out the necessity of including a vehicle control and the importance of administration technique in the in vivo mouse myocardial infarction experiments. Previous study has indicated that vehicle control and sham-operated control show similar effect on post–myocardial infarction healing.2 We completely agree with Takov et al that administration technique is important in cell transplantation.
