Abstract

Peer-reviewed academic journals are dependent upon their reviewers’ generosity of time and expertise to provide high-quality peer review for submitted manuscripts. However, competition for journal reviewers continues to increase as the amount of time for academic work in our health care systems declines. Optimization of the reviewer experience, therefore, is essential to retain those in the current reviewer pool, as well as to attract new reviewers [1-3].
