Abstract
In July 1998, changes to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health's 30 CFR Part 11 will affect how nonpowered particulate respirators, including dust masks, half‐face respirators, and full‐face respirators, are tested and certified. This article discusses the nine new classes of filter designation, employee training in regulatory change, employee medical testing, and the fit testing and inspection of respirators.
