Abstract

The paper proposes resource and duration evaluations for quantum secure communication (QSC) protocols. In terms of both evaluations, two QSC protocols - two-step quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocol and quantum channel compression (QCC)-based QSDC protocol, are compared. It is verified that the QCC-QSDC protocol excels the two-step QSDC in terms of duration, and utilizes slightly less resources for its implementation.
