Abstract
We calculate the spectrum of the resonant transition radiation generated by a fast charged particle moving in plasma with small-scale random magnetic inhomogeneities. We determine the conditions under which this type of transition radiation dominates over the transition radiation on plasma density inhomogeneities. We discuss possible applications of the resonant transition radiation in astrophysical and geophysical conditions.
