Abstract
The secondary emission concerning with excitons near the indirect band bottom in BiI 3 are investigated. The emission spectra consist of resonant Raman scattering (RRS) lines and hot-luminescence bands, which depend drastically on samples as well as excitation energy and temperature. The quantitative analysis gives detailed informations of relaxation mechanisms of the exciton. High resolution spectra reveals sample dependent structures due to low order LA-phonon scattering during the relaxation processes.
