Abstract

An equation describing wave propagation in an incompressible medium of finite conductivity with a uniform tilted magnetic field has been derived. It is shown that magneto-gravity waves are absorbed in the vicinity of the cusp resonant level if the angle of inclination of the magnetic field is smaller than the critical and are transformed into nondamping Alfvenp-waves if the angle of inclination of the magnetic field is larger than the critical. An evaluation of the critical angle is given on the basis of simple physics.
