Abstract

This article aims to discuss the resonance of the pseudoscientific concept known as "Gender Ideology" in the Brazilian educational system. For this purpose, we used two focuses of analysis: formal and non-formal educations. In formal education, we will discuss the consequences of the removal of sexual orientation from the school curriculum and its effects at different levels of education. In non-formal education, we will discuss the censorship that certain works of art or artistic exhibitions have suffered, based on a discourse of protection towards children and teenagers. The socialization of this category occurs through social media, ignoring the last decades of academic production on theories of gender and sexuality. I argue that -in a violent way- it takes the place of a new Christian dogma that has been producing subjectivities.

Summary
