Abstract

An investigation was made of the peculiarities of propagation of frequencytunable powerful ultrashort light pulses (USLP) in a sample of CdS0,4Se0,6 (77K) under resonance excitation of excitons. The peculiarities of resonance interaction of USLP with the semiconductor may be fairly well explained by the dominant effect of self-induced transparency on excitons.
