Abstract

The possible existence of BRS singlet pairs causes trouble for the proof of unitarity based on the BRS symmetry, especially in quantum gravity. In quantum Einstein gravity, this difficulty is resolved in the framework of its covariant operator formalism by generalizing the proof based on both BRS and anti-BRS symmetries.
