Abstract
Herpes simplex virus has been known to affect anorectal motor function when the vaginal and anorectal area are infected by this virus.1-3 We describe the resolution of sacral nerve dysfunction manifested primarily by fecal incontinence in a patient with anogenital herpes infection, as documented by serial anorectal manometry recordings.
