Abstract
Abstract We calculate resistivity and thermopower of CeCu 2 Si 2 and YbCu 2 Si 2 without adjustable parameters from experimental data of valence, valence fluctuation temperature, crystal field splittings and of the sd conduction electron density of states. We find that the conductivity is dominated by the 4f electrons.
