Abstract

We present measurements of the resistance noise in thin films of YBa 2Cu 3O 7 in the presence of low magnetic fields. As a function of temperature, for fixed values of current and in the absence of applied magnetic field, we have observed a large increase of the spectral density of the noise as the R = 0 state is approached, as reported previously for similar samples. For fixed values of temperature and current, we found that the noise exhibits a maximum for certain values of the field.
