Abstract

This study examined resilience and emotional intelligence as a predictor of job performance among security personal with the aim to find the relationship between resilience and job performance among security personal, the relationship emotional intelligence and job performance among security personal, the joint influence of resilience and emotional intelligence on job performance among security personal. A total of 163(M=124 & F=39) participants were selected using google survey from participants. A battery of psychological test consisting of job performance scale, resilience scale and emotional intelligent scale were used to collect data. The data collected were analysed using Pearson Product Moment correlation and regression analysis to test the stated hypotheses. The findings revealed that employee assistance resilience have a significant correlation with the measurement of employee performance. Also, emotional intelligence has a significant correlation with the measurement of employee performance. Similarly, resilience and emotional intelligence accounted for 27.7% of the observed variance in job performance. It was concluded that resilience and emotional intelligence jointly predicted job performance among security personal. The result was discussed based on the result and literature review.
