Abstract
INTRODUCTION X-ray diffraction residual stress measurement method has shown that bone possesses some inherent stress as ‘residual stress’ [1]. In more advanced application of X-ray diffraction, two-dimensional detectors called imaging plate are being used to obtain the diffracted Debye rings directly. These Debye rings are distorted by stress and the degree of distortion gives the basis for strain measurement.
