Abstract

In this paper, the class of bilinear systems subjected to unknown inputs for which there exists a unknown input fault detection observer U.I.F.D.O with bilinear error dynamics is designed. The proposed approach is based on gain optimisation of both the linear and the bilinear pan of the observation error dynamics. Sufficient existence conditions of this U.I.F.D.O are given. These conditions are less conservative than those proposed in the literature.
