Abstract

This study investigates and compares the residential consciousness of the independent and non-independent youth generations. The first survey was conducted from September 23, 2020 to October 25, 2020, and the second survey was conducted from November 11, 2020 to April 6, 2021. As a result, the independent group emphasized the main bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, while the non-independent group emphasized the main bedroom, living room, main bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and collection space. When choosing a house, independent groups take into account security and non-independent groups take into account security. In terms of housing satisfaction, independent groups have high transportation convenience, convenience facilities and internal facilities, while non-independent groups have high ventilation lighting, safety and peripheral facilities. Independent luggage groups prefer rentals, apartments, monthly rents of 250,000 won to 300,000 won, and rentals. Non-independent groups prefer to rent 200,000 won to 250,000 won per month, and rentals are preferred. When choosing a youth home, independent groups consider the distance between school and work and comfort, while non-independent groups consider the distance between school and work the most.
