I am concerned, however, about the lack of commentary on primary care internal medicine residencies, which have a matching number different from that of the categorical residencies. If one considers the implication of Table 5, this lack has some potentially invidious effects. Our program at Medical College of Ohio at Toledo has generally recruited well and is designated as a primary care residency.
