Abstract

Warehouse receipts are one of the very central parts of the financing system in the trade sector. Warehouse receipts can provide convenience for credit for the trade sector where the guarantee is in the form of inventory or commodities stored in warehouses. The purpose of this study is to discuss bank credit arrangements with warehouse receipt guarantees and to examine legal protection for warehouse receipt guarantee rights holders. The research used in this study is a normative research type, using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The sources of legal materials for this research consist of primary and secondary sources of legal materials. This research data collection technique uses recording techniques, file systems, and document studies which will be analyzed systematically. The results of the study show that the enactment of Law Number 9 of 2006 is to provide and provide legal certainty and provide protection to the community and also to expand public access to use financing facilities. This law has provided strong legal protection to the owners of warehouse receipt security rights, this is so because it has included supporting institutions for implementing warehouse receipts which are used as objects of credit guarantees.
