Abstract

The homogeneous flow field was solved by N-S equations and SST(shear stress transport)turbulence model of k¦O-model and the supercavity was simulated by modified Rayleigh-Plesset equation based on the structured mesh. The supercavity flow of the three dimensional supercavitating vehicle was numerically simulated under different cavitation numbers. According to the simulation results of the cavitation flow, the rules between cavitation shape and static pressure were obtained. The results showed that the simulation result is consistent with the empirical formulas, and description of the turbulence model and numerical methods to accurately forecast flow cavitation problems, which provided the reference for further investigating the cavitation problem.
